Arguably the world's most prestigious newsreel archive, British Pathe dates back to 1896 and includes footage of major 20th Century events, lifestyle, famous faces, trends, fashion, travel, science and culture up to the 1970s. Many later items are in colour and original 35mm film is available for HD transfer.
